Doh! I lost my wedding ring.

One of my worst fears was realized today when I discovered that my ring went missing. I haven't lost anything in years, but I somehow managed to lose my wedding ring! I swear I took it off and placed it in the same spot like I always do. It's just not there. Now I'm second guessing myself. Did it slip off while I was washing my hands and roll down the drain and I just failed to notice? Or did it slip off when I tossed the trash into the dumpster? It remains a mystery and I am still pist.

Watermelon?!!!

Remember the movie American Pie? Think back to the scene where Jason Biggs is masturbating with an apple pie. For those of you who pleasure yourself with the help of food, here's a new one. Microwaved watermelon. That's right. Watermelon.

I was out last night when I was told an interesting story about someone they knew masturbating to watermelon that's briefly heated up in the microwave. That seems to be a a lot of prep work. Plus how long are you supposed to cook the watermelon for? Don't try this at home kids. I wouldn't want anyone scalding themselves trying to figure out how this works.

Fourth City in Three Years

In just three years, I have moved from Northern CA to NY to Southern CA to Michigan. That's a heck of a lot of moving around. Unfortunately for me, I always intend to live light so I can move easily but it never works out that way.

BCG Round 2 Update

I flew out to Detroit on Wednesday. I barely slept despite having an interview early the next morning. I was just too anxious. I felt good going into the interview. The first interview was with a partner. I did not do well. I have no idea why. The next two interviews were with principals where I also did not do as well as I am capable of. I came out of it knowing I would not get an offer. While at the airport, I got a call from the partner I interviewed with and he told me they would not be extending me an offer. The basic feedback was that I could have structured better.

Oh well. Despite not getting the offer, it was good practice for me and actually got me to think hard about my future plans. I don't have any concrete ideas but I plan to continue down the road that I have been on for over a decade. Entrepreneurship seems to be my calling and I have a hard time imagining that I can go and do something else... like work for someone else.

BCG Round 1 Update

Woohoo! I received a call in the middle of my lunch with Eugene. I got good news and am moving on to the decision round in Detroit. It's now scheduled for July 22nd which is when I was supposed to go to Korea. I will have to delay the Korea trip and change our Phillipines vacation a bit. And I'm happy to do so. It looks like I will have to study even harder for the DR interviews. Wish me luck!
